Direct Counsel represents an AmLaw 100 firm seeking an experienced Patent Agent or Patent Associate to join its nationally recognized Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Patent Prosecution practice.

This is an outstanding opportunity for professionals with 3+ years of patent prosecution experience who are passionate about protecting cutting-edge technologies in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, robotics, and advanced computing.

Key Responsibilities Draft, file, and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications.Manage patent portfolios for innovative technology companies across a diverse client base.Prepare high-quality patent applications involving: Graphics Processing Units (GPUs)Tensor Processing Units (TPUs)AI accelerators and neural enginesRobotics circuitry and actuatorsElectrical engineering and software technologiesWork closely with inventors and in-house counsel to develop strategic patent protection.Qualifications 3+ years of patent preparation and prosecution experience.Bachelor's or advanced degree in: Electrical EngineeringComputer EngineeringSoftware EngineeringComputer SciencePhysicsMathematicsStrong academic credentials with excellent technical, writing, and communication skills.Prior law firm, engineering, or industry experience preferred.USPTO registration required for all candidates.JD and active state bar admission required for Patent Associate candidates.Compensation & Benefits Salary: $140,000–$260,000, depending on experience.Discretionary performance bonus.Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.Application Requirements Qualified candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, undergraduate transcript, law school or graduate transcript (if applicable), and a writing sample (preferably a patent application).
